Intermec is pleased to announce that our own CTO Arvin Danielson has been appointed to the 11-person Board of Directors of AIM, the international association and recognized authority on bar code, RFID, and enterprise mobile computing.

Here is AIM's comment on Arvin's appointment:

“AIM continues to lead the global efforts for standards, education and advocacy within the Auto ID and Mobility industry, working together to provide a collective voice on regulatory and policy issues worldwide,” states AIM chairman, Chuck Evanhoe. “Arvin brings broad international business experience and additional breadth of expertise to a board of industry executives who are leading the strategic efforts of AIM within our industry.  We are very pleased to have an Intermec executive serving on this board.”

AIM’s mission is to expand the understanding, adoption and use of data collection technology by driving international standards, providing timely, unbiased and commercial-free news and educational resources.  Board representatives are elected by the AIM membership.

The current board also includes executives from BlueStar, CDO Technologies, Datalogic Scanning, Evanhoe & Associates, FEIG Electronic GmbH, Ingram Micro, Lowry Computer Products, Motorola Solutions, TAGSYS, and Zebra Technologies.

Congrats, Arvin!
