How to read from PB31 Smart Card reader

Hi,

We have a project that require use of PB31 smart card reader and we cannot find any documentation how to develop application to communicate with the smart card reader on the printer.

Please advise:

1) What firmware, printer language and setting we need on the PB31?

2) Cannot find a support in our IDL, please advise which toolkit support the smart card reading

3) Please provide demo that run on Intermec computer (preference on 70 series) or PC

4) Please provide sample code too.

I mentioned this to a colleague who told me this should be possible using the standard Windows Mobile Smart Card API. You can find documentation on that in MSDN:

I understand that this has be done in the past on a CN3 connected to the printer via Bluetooth. I'm afraid I don't have any more information than that for you.
