IF61 some problems

hi!

i just got an IF61 device.

I need to prepare simple app that stores tag reads when offline using USB device.

i wanted to use Ale Store and Forward apllication but cannot srart ALE server and get messages like these:

Jan 1 02:17:55 IF6107011025623 user.notice root: ALE: Starting ALE...

Jan 1 02:17:56 IF6107011025623 user.notice root: ALE Server has not started!

Additionally an USB device isn't mounted automatically into /home/developer/usb1. I tried to mount it manually but unfortunately got no root account. Can i have a root access to use commands like mount?

Have old Intermec 2425 devices running in old open air (504) wireless. Devices currently communicate with a communications service running on a server, which validates part number against an MSACCESS database then stores transactions in same database. Want to upgrade to CK3 devices.

Not sure where to start. What application pieces are needed in order to use the new CK3 devices and still retrieve/store information in MSACCESS database on server?

What programming language would each application piece be written in? What SDKs are tool kits are needed? Is there any sample code available for each application piece?

CK3 scanner stopped working

We've had a strange problem all of a sudden with several CK3 computers: the barcode scanner would simply stop working. Only a clean-boot gets it working again.

My boss handed me a device that was working. I put an updated version of the application on the device and ran it. The scanner did not work. NOTE: there were no changes to the application regarding the DataCollection resource kit. I tried warm-booting and cold-booting, but this did not fix it. Only a clean-boot fixed it.

Also, the customer has several CK3 scanners and this has just started happening. There were no software updates.

Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this?

I have enough experience in java like developing an application to the collector CK30. I wonder if there is any emulator and framework that can work with Eclipse. Or if you have any progam simulator that can develop this in java. It would be a very simple program. I tried seeking more examples I could not find anything.

How to remove "Unlicensed Copy" word from Camera in IDL Multimedia Kit?

Hi I just download the IDL Multimedia Kit and try to run the CN3Camera sample but i get the engraving "Unlicensed Copy" on every snapshot i take. How can i remove it? If i need to register something that what and where do i need to register in order to remove the unlicensed copy word? My device is CN50 and VS2008 C# as development platform.

I bought the license and I activated the Multimedia Toolkit software, but when I execute the example the message it continues "Unlicensed Copy". Which is the next step after activating the license? After activation I do continue working inside of Visual Studio (2008 and C#)? Executing and installing the application for the CN50? Should the message disappear?

The pictures are usually taken, but with the message "Unlicensed Copy" and inverted, even after the activation. Can Vc help me?

I have a CN2B WM2003 app and want to run on CV30 WM5, is this possible?

i'm developing a application in visual basic .net, i need what my application read codes bar of labels in some devices, the communication is with my pc & the intermec scanner sr61 via bluetooth. i am new in this theme, i'm reading about this theme, but no find much information. i read sobre the library intermec.datacollection in .net, but do not really understand Can you help me?.

Digital Signature not working on Server 2008 (64 bit system)

Good day

I wonder if anyone else had this problem:

All the development is done on 32 bit, and actually the emulator has no issues running on the server. It only freezes on the signature screen.

I've tried manually registering psic.dll even using regsvr32 that is meant for 32-bit dlls, but still a fail.

Any ideas?

Trapping the Scan key while using the imager

I have an applicaiton which is using the imager. I initualy use the following code to show the user what the image live so they can see it before they capture.

When the user presses the center scan button it captures the image in the PictureImager which is a Picturebox. Is there any whay to trap when this happens.

PB3 print buffer clearence problem

i have been trying to print bitmap on PB3 the first time is printing fine and te next time am attempting to print the image shifts towards the left. restarting the printer allows the bitmap to print fine. i suspect the print buffer isn't cleared and have used CAN (0x18) command but stil the shift occurs for second print onwards.

is there any command which may clear the print buffer other than CAN

Hello,

we are using DataCom Sample utility for GPRS connection in CN50 device using WWANToolkit 5.6 evaluation version.We are able to do First time Connect to GPRS and able to ping sucessfully.

In application closed we have written code of poweroff() i.e used

CN50: How to connect to USB?

We are facing the following issue -

We've got a CN50 along with its USB host snap-on. We want to connect an external USB device to it that will receive a certain order from the handheld and proceed accordingly.

The thing is we are stuck where to start - how to develop within .net on connecting, opening and sending data via the USB host?

Hi All

i have one problem of SQLCE.

i developed shelflabeling software, this application get all data fro sql server by wifi and insert it into SQLCE on handheld, it's work perfectly.

it,s get 82000 records from base server (SQL Server ) to insert them into SQLCE, but when I query for 1 record in SQLCE by SELECT statement the result is take up to 35 second to get data.

i think another way to get data fastly?

can anybody help me?

For all that have or could not attend/ed the intermec developer conference 2007 at Berlin, germany: there was a lab showing how to extend SmartSystems to be able to control your app settings thru Intermec Settings.

Recently I was asked how to control the CN50 backlight settings and found that these standard settings are not part of the CN50 SmartSystem schema. So, I remembered the lab and start to code a DLL to be able to control the CN50 Backlight settings by use of SmartSystems.

You have to write a DLL with some entry points and a XML file. Then both has to be registered with SmartSystems on the device and you can control your app from within IntermecSettings.

i have 50 CN3e

its work good with SmartSystems Console.

but i want it work with Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 , i need it for Client Config after Install my software.

i have CN3 multidock , it's has 2 Port NIC and 4 place for 4 CN3e.

i hope find soulution .

Image not Found error on a PD41

have a PD41 which I wants to print a logo. The rest of the layout works well.

I have gone through the FTP server of the printer to put a image on de map C. This is of type BMP monochrome. If I command PRIMAGE "SMAL.1" I get the error message Image not found.

Or I have the logo on the printer at the wrong location or I have it the wrong format.

I can find anywhere how to do it.
